The quest for the perfect peach

I drove up to Westminster, MD this afternoon, to Baugher's Orchard and bought these peaches (fresh from their trees). They're too hard to eat yet but I'm hoping they'll ripen and NOT be mealy like every other peach I've had this summer.

Also bought apples, corn, and some *Amish popping corn* in "Baby White" and "Purple Kernel". Can't wait to try those.

I just hope they taste as good as they look!

Thanks J. I noticed the waning afternoon light was making them almost glow, so I grabbed my camera. I especially like the one of the two peaches facing each other and the tiny droplet of water in the background!

The peaches are perfect, but it was the light on them that knocked my socks off. Glad you had your camera handy.
